New Mountain Valley District Chair: Jeff Teagarden

Jeff Teagarden, Mountain Valley District Chair

Congratulations to new Mountain Valley District Chair Jeff Teagarden. Jeff joined Scouting as a youth and is an Eagle Scout (class of 1998) and a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association. Having been a member of units across the U.S. and in Germany and Belgium, he now resides in Pendleton County, WV where he serves as Cubmaster of Pack 162, Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 162, and Advisor of Crew 162.

He attended Wood Badge in 2023 and staffed the 2025 course and has been recognized with the Scouter’s Key, Unit Leader Award of Merit, District Award of Merit, and Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award. He is also an Order of the Arrow 1915 Society member and a James E. West Fellow, NESA Legacy Society Fellow, and Order of the Arrow Legacy Fellow. He has served in multiple District and Council positions over the years and his daughter is a Cub Scout soon bridging over to Webelos. Best wishes to Jeff in this new role!
