“Breaking Clays for Scouts” is a Sporting Clays event to help provide the necessary funds to ensure that the high-quality Scouting programs continue to provide a platform for our youth to develop character traits and leadership skills that they will use all their lives. We are also very pleased that Scouting teaches shooting sports and respect for firearms is introduced at an early age to our Scouts.
2026 Breaking Clays for Scouts a Success
The Virginia Headwaters Council hosted a successful Breaking Clays for Scouts fundraiser on September 25, 2026, at Shenandale Gun Club in Swoope, Virginia. The event brought together Scouting supporters, business leaders, volunteers, and shooting sports enthusiasts for a day of fellowship, friendly competition, and support for local Scouting.
The beautiful Shenandale Gun Club provided an outstanding setting for the event, with participants enjoying a challenging sporting clays course and a great day outdoors. The event also provided an opportunity to introduce new supporters to the Virginia Headwaters Council and share the impact of Scouting programs across our communities.
Most importantly, the proceeds from the event will help the Council continue providing high-quality programs and experiences for young people throughout the Virginia Headwaters Council, helping Scouts develop character, confidence, leadership skills, and a commitment to service.
We are grateful to everyone who sponsored, participated, volunteered, and helped make the 2026 Breaking Clays for Scouts a success. We especially appreciate the continued partnership of Shenandale Gun Club and look forward to building on the event’s success in the years ahead.
