Annual Health & Medical Record (AHMR)

Every participant needs a current Annual Health & Medical Record. Parts A & B are required for all Scouting; Part C (with a physical) is required for events longer than 72 hours and for high-adventure. Keep copies with the unit for every activity.

Hazardous Weather Training is required for direct-contact unit leaders and is a great refresher for everyone. Know your plan for storms, heat, cold, and changing conditions before you head outdoors.

Incident Reporting

Report incidents, near-misses, and youth-protection concerns promptly, reporting helps keep everyone safer. For urgent youth-safety concerns, call the Scouts First Helpline at 1-844-726-8871 and contact the Council Service Center.

Activity-Specific Safety
