🤝 Mountain Valley District Commissioners: Here to Help Your Unit Succeed

The Mountain Valley District Commissioner Corps is a team of dedicated, experienced Scouting volunteers whose primary mission is unit service. We act as coaches, mentors, and the ultimate “help desk” to ensure every Pack, Troop, and Crew in our district thrives and delivers a high-quality program to our youth.

How We Support Your Unit:

  • Journey to Excellence: We support unit growth and retention by helping leaders navigate and achieve the Journey to Excellence (JTE) benchmarks.

  • Continuous Improvement: We regularly connect with units to log their strengths and needs in Commissioner Tools, helping to build an actionable unit service plan.

  • Resource Connection: We link unit needs directly to the District Operating Committee and other council resources.

  • Charter Renewal: We guide and support timely unit, district, and council charter renewals.

  • Leader Support: We collect and distribute vital information, enable program training, and provide networking opportunities for all unit leaders.

🗓️ Commissioner Meetings

Our Unit Commissioners meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM via Zoom to discuss unit health, upcoming events, and resource allocation.
