Summer isn’t the only time to come to Camp Shenandoah and work on Merit Badges! Throughout the year, weekend programs will be offered to Scouts and Scouters.

Dive in, gear up, and get hands-on at Aquaterra Weekend—a special two-day event offering both aquatics and land-based merit badges and trainings!
Classes Offered:
On the Water: Small Boat Sailing, Swimming, Lifesaving, Canoeing, Kayaking
Special Training: Swim and Water Rescue (Saturday only), Paddlecraft Safety (Sunday only)
On Land: Welding, Metalworking, Woodworking
Camping:
Units are encouraged to camp for the weekend and enjoy the full Aquaterra experience. If your unit can’t camp but you’d still like to attend, we can place you as a Provisional Camper with another troop.

Join us at Camp Shenandoah on November 9th for the Welding and Woodworking Merit Badges. Whether you’re forging metal or crafting with wood, you’ll learn from expert instructors and create something cool! Don’t miss out!

Aquatics Weekend – Sept 7-8, 2024
Earn aquatics Merit Badges in beautiful Hope Lake at Camp Shenandoah! Classes
will be overseen by trained members of the Virginia Headwaters Council (VAHC) Aquatics Committee. Parents/Leaders are welcome to watch and/or participate.
Courses include: Swimming, Lifesaving, Canoeing, Kayaking, Sailing, Swim and Water Rescue training.
